Want to help fire the small anagama kiln this autumn?

Ceramicist Tim Thornton is in charge of the next firing of Oxford's smaller of two Anagama kilns at Wytham Woods, between 30th October and 9th November, and has some vacancies for the firing team. This is open to anyone but ceramicists will be most likely to apply because they will have the opportunity to fire their own work in exchange for helping.

Tim says, 'If you're interested, please email me at tim@tim-thornton.com, with a few words on your background and experience. I'll get back to those interested with full information about the firing.'

**Note that for some of this period the woods are closed to the public because of the annual deer cull. This won't affect the firing of the kiln, but it does mean that people can't just drop in to see what is happening - we have to supply a list of names and car registration numbers in advance. But this will all have finished by the time we open the kiln, so you are free to come along then if you wish.
