This fascinating journey is a series of walks in the stunning and remote landscapes of Transylvania and Moldovia. You will be introduced to the cultural heritage of north Romania and capture a glimpse of a romantic, almost Medieval world, that is fast disappearing. The trip begins in Maramures where you will visit fortified Saxon villages, which have stood for five hundred years, amidst a landscape that is dotted with unique wooden churches. The party will continue on foot to Bucovina in northern Moldavia, where you will discover the magnificent Moldovian painted churches and then continue south through beautiful forests and mountain scenery before ending your trip in Bucharest.
