We hope that you can join us for a conversation with Lord Mendoza CBE (Oriel College 1978), Provost of Oriel and Chair of Historic England, followed by a networking breakfast with fellow alumni.
At this event, you will get the chance to hear Lord Mendoza speak about "Soft Power in Foreign Policy" as well as hear from Holly Peterson, recently appointed Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of Oxford.

Lord Neil Mendoza CBE
Lord Mendoza (Oriel College 1978) became Provost of Oriel College in 2018 after a successful career in business and finance. He was recently appointed to the UK's Soft Power Council, an advisory board to the Government. He was appointed Commissioner for Cultural Recovery and Renewal in 2020 and was conferred with a Life Peerage by the Queen. He was awarded a CBE in the New Year Honours List in 2022.
Holly Peterson
Holly Peterson is Director of Alumni Engagement at the University of Oxford. Holly has held several alumni engagement roles at institutions including the University of London, Cambridge University, the University of Exeter and organisations in the US.
