EMAIL FORWARDING SERVICE FAQS

Expand All

The former University email forwarding service was over ten years old and displayed very heavy signs of wear and tear. Over time it become more and more untenable to facilitate, and crucially, emails sent via the service could no longer be guaranteed for delivery. Therefore a decision was made to close it permanently on Wednesday 28 April 2021

To ensure our legacy users ONLY could continue using our email forwarding service we upgraded the service to a new UK based provider, Aluminati (https://www.aluminati.net/).

Nothing. We fully acknowledge that such a service is still a valuable benefit to our alumni, and to that end, we are upgrading this service to a new UK based provider, Aluminati (https://www.aluminati.net/).

Legacy users ONLY will have received an email notifying you of this upgrade. Once migrated, you will have access to a specialist email support team at Aluminati who will be able to resolve any issues or answer any questions you may have about the new service.

If you did not opt-out of the initial migration from the Oxford email forwarding service to Aluminati, you will have received an email of the upgrade and instructions on what to do next. If you haven't received this email, please contact the Aluminati helpdesk: help@mail.oxfordalumni.org
