Alumni joined doctor, broadcaster and writer Chris van Tulleken (@DoctorChrisVT) at this free online event with Dr Richard Lofthouse, editor of QUAD alumni digital magazine.
Chris (St Peter’s, 1996) is an Associate Professor in the division of Infection and Immunity at University College London, alongside being a popular BBC broadcast for programmes including Operation Ouch, The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs and The Truth About...HIV. His research focuses on how corporations affect human health especially in the context of child nutrition and he works with UNICEF and The World Health Organisation on this area.
The webinar discussed Chris's international bestseller Ultra-Processed People – Why Do We All Eat Stuff That Isn’t Food … and Why Can’t We Stop? An eye-opening investigation into the science, economics, history and production of ultra-processed food.
