Stephen will also be accompanied by his wife, Carolyn Proenca, Professor of Botany at the University of Brasilia and Curator of the University's herbarium

Let Professor Stephen Harris, curator of Britain’s oldest plant collection and frequent visitor to Brazil, introduce you to the country’s spectacular flora and fauna. Spend a day exploring Rio de Janeiro’s spectacular 100 acre Botanic Gardens before visiting some of the city’s more interesting private gardens. Moving on, you will visit the imperial and private gardens of the Petropolis before exploring the jungle trails at the mighty Iguassu Falls, one of the continent’s natural wonders. The tour finishes up in Argentina's capital with a city tour, garden visits and typical asado. It is possible to extend your trip with additional nights in either Brazil or Argentina.
